If you already watch Liz’s classes or have interacted with her in live session or calls, this program is perfect for you!  If you haven’t watched any of Liz’s classes though, we recommend starting with a Free 7-Day Trial to The Studio so you can get to know Liz’s style before introducing her to your audience.

About The Program

As a Studio Affiliate, you share about free resources available from Liz Kohler Brown. Then, when someone you refer joins as a paid member, you get paid. Affiliates receive:

  • $25 for every new monthly member you refer
  • $100 for every new annual member you refer
  • a personal hub page with your unique affiliate links, swipe files, and graphics
  • monthly stats so you can see your leads growing even before anyone converts
  • updates about sales, new freebies, and live events so you always know what to share

Your referral is tracked from click to free resource signup, with no expiration after that. If someone you send joins six months or two years from now, you still get that commission.

What You'd Share

Research has shown that advertising free resources is three times more likely to result in a paid conversion eventually, so we keep it focused on what works:

  • Sell Your Stuff Guide
  • Share Your Stuff Guide
  • Affinity Designer 101
  • Procreate Foundations
  • Future live events like Summer Art School

Once you are approved, you will get everything you need to start sharing, including links, graphics, and copy for each one.

The Math

Here is some math to show you how much you’d make as an affiliate if someone joins using your link:

  • Jane signs up using your Affinity Designer 101 link, and two months later decides to join as an Annual Collective Studio Member. You make $100.
  • Sarah signs up using your Sell Your Stuff link and eventually joins as a Monthly Studio Member. You make $25.
  • Barbara registers for a live event like Summer Art School using your affiliate link and decides to join The Studio as a Monthly Studio Member at a promotional rate. You still make the full $25.

Commissions are paid on the 1st weekday of each month via PayPal. There is no minimum threshold, so everything you earn gets paid as soon as the 30-day verification period clears.

Q & A

These should answer common questions, but feel free to email us at help@lizkohlerbrown.com if you have additional questions!

When and how do affiliates get paid?

Commissions are held for 30 days to account for our refund period and any potential payment failures/disputes. After 30 days, any cleared commissions are paid on the 1st weekday of the month via PayPal. There is no minimum threshold, so everything you earn gets paid out each month.

Research shows that people are three times more likely to eventually become a paid member when they start with a free resource. Once someone signs up through your link, our email sequence introduces them to The Studio, shares a free trial membership offer, and gets them excited about making and selling their work using Liz’s classes. You bring them in through a free resource and we do the rest.

No. You earn $25 for every new Monthly Member and $100 for every new Annual Collective Member regardless of any discount they received at checkout.

Our system uses a first click rule. Whatever link someone first uses to register for one of our free resources is the one that gets tracked. Being the first to share about a new freebie or live event will help you lock in more referrals.

When someone clicks your affiliate link, their referral is captured and associated with your affiliate account. If they register for any of the resources we provide links for within a 30-day window (most of the time this happens within a few days since they are free), your affiliate code is stored in our system with no expiration. If they become a paid Studio member six months or even two years from now, you still get credit and will receive your commission from their signup.

No. Affiliates are not allowed to use their own link to purchase a Studio Membership. This is considered a self-referral and is not eligible for commission.

If a customer receives a refund within 30 days of joining, the associated commission will be voided. This is why we hold commissions for 30 days before paying out. Our refund rate is below industry standard so this is not common.

Yes. The FTC requires that you clearly state when you’re using an affiliate link. For example, you could say, “I may earn a commission if you join through this link.”
