Last Updated: May 21, 2026

Liz Kohler Brown LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and wants you to understand how we collect, use, share, and protect information about you — our visitors, users, members, and customers.

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes our data practices and your rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict our use of your personal information. Unless we state otherwise, this Policy applies when you visit or use the Company’s websites and platforms, including:

  • www.lizkohlerbrown.com

  • classes.lizkohlerbrown.com

  • thestudiomembership.com

  • and any related pages, checkout flows, member portals, community areas, and email communications we operate (collectively, the “Platforms”).

By using the Platforms, you agree to this Policy and any other agreements that govern your use of the Platforms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platforms.

1. Who May Use the Platforms (Age Requirement)

The Platforms are intended for adults building or running a creative business. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, purchase a membership or product, or otherwise use the Platforms. By using the Platforms, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a minor, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. A parent or guardian who believes their child has provided us personal information may contact us using the details in the “How to Contact Us” section, and we will delete it.

2. Information We Collect

Information You Provide Directly

We collect information you give us when you create an account, sign up for emails, communicate with us, or purchase products or services, including:

  • Account & Membership Data: name, email address, username, password (stored encrypted — we cannot view it), the products or memberships you can access, sign-in history, and lesson or course progress.

  • Payment Data: which product or service you purchased and the amount paid. Full card numbers and card security codes are collected and processed directly by our third-party payment processors; we do not store sensitive cardholder data.

  • Content & Engagement Data: the content you choose to receive, whether you accessed it, survey and feedback responses, quiz responses, and questions or messages you send us.

  • Community & Public Content: comments, posts, reviews, and other content you choose to share in community areas of the Platforms.

  • Promotions & Surveys: information you submit when entering a giveaway, promotion, or survey.

  • Customer Support: your name, email, the contents of your message, and details about your business or account that you provide.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information such as your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, health, genetic or biometric data, sexual orientation, sex life, political opinions, trade-union membership, or criminal history. Please do not send us this information.

Information Collected Automatically

When you use the Platforms (including our emails), we and our service providers use cookies, pixels, web beacons, tags, and similar technologies to collect:

  • Device & usage data: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, time spent, the site you arrived from and went to next, and similar analytics.

  • Clickstream data: aggregate, non-identifying information about visits and hits used for research, analytics, and improving the Platforms.

  • Advertising & marketing data: information about your activity used to measure and deliver advertising (see “Cookies, Tracking & Advertising” below).

3. Cookies, Tracking & Advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Platforms, remember your preferences, analyze traffic, and deliver and measure advertising. A cookie is a small data file stored on your device. You can usually set your browser to refuse or delete cookies, though some features may not work as a result.

Analytics

We use analytics services, including Google Analytics, to understand how visitors use the Platforms — for example, the site you arrived from, how often you visit, and your activity on the Platforms. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites here:

https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

Advertising Pixels and “Sale” / “Sharing” of Information

We advertise our products on third-party platforms and use their tracking pixels and tags on the Platforms, including Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google, and Pinterest. These technologies allow us and our advertising partners to show you relevant ads on other websites and apps and to measure how our campaigns perform.

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) and similar U.S. state privacy laws, the use of these advertising technologies may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (such as online identifiers and browsing activity) for cross-context behavioral advertising — even when no money changes hands. We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not sell it for unrelated marketing purposes.

You can opt out of this advertising-related sharing in the following ways:

  • Adjust your browser cookie settings to block or delete cookies, and manage your ad preferences directly with the advertising platforms;

  • Enable a recognized opt-out preference signal, such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC). Where required by law, we treat a valid GPC signal as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for that browser or device; and/or

  • Use the industry opt-out resources below.

Industry advertising opt-out resources:

Because opt-out preference signals like GPC are tied to a specific browser or device, you may need to enable the signal on each browser and device you use. If we add an on-site “Your Privacy Choices” control in the future, you will also be able to manage your preferences there.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Process and fulfill purchases and keep you informed about your orders and account;

  • Provide, administer, and improve our products, memberships, courses, events, and community;

  • Communicate with you, including transactional emails, newsletters, and marketing (you can opt out of marketing at any time);

  • Run and measure promotions, contests, surveys, and giveaways;

  • Respond to your inquiries, comments, and support requests;

  • Conduct marketing, advertising, lead generation, and market research, and measure campaign effectiveness;

  • Operate, evaluate, and secure our business, develop new products and services, and perform accounting and billing; and

  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

Where required by law (for example, for visitors in the UK and EU), our legal bases for processing are: your consent; performance of a contract with you; our legitimate business interests; and compliance with our legal obligations.

5. How We Share Your Information

We share personal information only as described below. We do not sell your personal information for money.

  • Zapier — automates data transfers between the tools we use;

Other Sharing

  • Third Parties You Choose: for example, payment providers like PayPal or social media accounts you link to your account.

  • Legal & Safety: to comply with law or legal process, respond to lawful requests, protect our rights, or prevent fraud or harm, as permitted by law.

  • Business Transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, in which case we will require comparable protection of your information.

6. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information. We honor these rights as required by applicable law and will not discriminate against you for exercising them.

  • Access / Know: request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we hold about you.

  • Delete: ask us to delete personal information, subject to legal exceptions.

  • Appeal: in some U.S. states, appeal a decision we make about your request.

How to Exercise Your Rights

To make a request, contact us using the details in the “How to Contact Us” section. So we can respond, please tell us which right you wish to exercise and provide enough information for us to verify your identity and locate your records. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (generally within 45 days, with the possibility of an extension where permitted). You may use an authorized agent to submit a request where the law allows, subject to verification.

To unsubscribe from marketing emails, click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any marketing message. Transactional and account-related emails are not marketing and may still be sent.

California “Shine the Light”

California residents may request information about our disclosure of personal information to third parties for those third parties’ direct marketing purposes. To submit a request, contact us with the phrase “California Shine the Light” and include your name, mailing address, state of residence, and email address.

UK and EU Residents

If you are in the UK or EU, you have rights under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR as summarized above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We may have valid legal grounds to decline a request; if so, we will explain why where required.

7. How We Protect Your Information

We work with our service providers to maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. We limit access to those who need it to do their jobs. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Where legally required, we will notify you and any applicable regulator of a data breach.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Platforms, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it. To request deletion, contact us using the details below.

9. International Data Transfers

We are based in the United States, and your information will be stored and processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate. These countries may have data protection laws different from those in your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for transfers of personal information out of the UK and EU.

10. Third-Party Sites and Services

The Platforms may link to or integrate with websites and services operated by third parties. Their collection and use of your information is governed by their own privacy policies, not this one. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party sites, and we encourage you to review their policies before providing information.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice (such as an email or an on-site banner). We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
